choosing how to feel

on the path

on the path

I am challenged to slow down my rapid-busy-bee pace once I’m deep in the hustle and bustle of my day. I work hard to recognize when I need to pause and take care of myself. After being in constant movement of the body and the mind all day I feel super charged and exhausted at the same time.

I drive by the water falling near an entry to Case Mtn., Manchester, CT instantly mother nature catches my attention and I give myself time to STOP. I may only be still, be quiet, be for 5-10 mins during this visit; other times I make my way to the 744 ft summit.

All it takes is a few steps in the woods and the senses are fully inspired. In no time at all the chaotic vibrations of my day fall from my shoulders to my hips to my feet and I’m soothed. I can feel my bodies natural rhythm and I feel more clear, emotionally for the gratitude of this moment. I feel more comfortable in my skin and take delight in my feet being supported by the earth. This is a feeling I LOVE.

I find balance from the inside to the outside as I enjoy a new pace at Case.
