yoga for stress helps at any age!

The number one reason to practice yoga is stress relief. After a long weekend at home alone with two small children a woman business owner arrrived for Monday morning yoga. All the staff recieved the communication, “I’m in a meeting 9:30-10:45 this morning” at the start of the class the phone was set silenced and set aside. The student asked is this was ‘bad’ to tell staff. “No way” everyone agreed the class was just what everyone needed to relief pain, wake up their bodies and the self-care put them in the right mental space to handle the day.

The moves where intended to slow down the morning rush and offer stress relief. Yoga reduces the phyiscal effects of stress on the body. The class began on their backs, stretching, breathing and becoming focused on themselves.

By allowing ourselves such self-care and encouraaging relaxation, yoga helps to lower the levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Yoga for Stress is easy and available for any busy men, women and teens that need to practice slowing down.
